MoonTime
Case study in development. I'm currently working on the detailed write-up for this project. In the meantime, please enjoy the images.

MoonTime is a pioneering concept for a wellbeing sanctuary in London, designed to normalise and celebrate the menstrual cycle. It proposes a new form of sensory architecture where spaces for rest, community, and education are crafted to support the body's natural rhythms.

The Story
(The Challenge) In a society where menstruation is often hidden and stigmatised, the challenge was to design a public space that does the opposite: a place to normalise the conversation and celebrate the female cycle. The brief was to create a safe, supportive, and educational sanctuary in the heart of London.
(My Contribution) My process began with in-depth research into menstrual health, consulting experts and future users to define the building's programme. The core concept organises the building into a journey through four distinct zones, each crafted to support a specific phase of the menstrual cycle—from the quiet introspection of 'Moon' (Menstrual) to the creative energy of 'Magic' (Follicular). Each zone uses a carefully curated palette of materials, lighting, textures, and even aromas to align with the unique physical and emotional states of that phase. I translated this sensory-driven concept into a full architectural proposal, from initial space planning and detailed drawings to the final visualisations.
(The Outcome) The result is MoonTime: a pioneering architectural concept for a space that supports women in sync with their own bodies. It serves as a blueprint for how thoughtful, empathetic design can dismantle social stigmas and actively contribute to personal wellbeing.
